Happy Birthday To This Guy

Today is Brian's birthday. Since I'm not very good at the sappy/lovey stuff, I thought I would share a few things about Brian that some of you may/may not know.

If Brian finds something cool or has something that he really enjoys, he always wants others to know about it so they can enjoy it as much as he does. How many of you have heard about the slingbox or even the body groom? Case in point.

He has a mistress. His stupid body pillow. It's like having a 3rd person in our bed. I wake up with that pillow jabbing me in the back several times a week. Brian doesn't like to sleep without her. I would give him an ultimatum, but I'm afraid I wouldn't like the outcome. I hate her...

He always eats whatever I try and make. Bless his heart.

He makes friends with everyone. I am pretty sure that my parents like him more than me. Can't say I blame them.

I think he may have some OCD tendencies. Okay, I'm positive about it. If he has something that he's working on, nothing else can get in the way. If someone asks him to find good deal on something... it consumes him. Which brings up my next thought- He researches everything! He wants to find the best thing for the best price. I do love this about him, but it makes it really hard to surprise him with anything.

He wakes up happier than anyone I've ever seen. I know I've shared this before, but it's still my favorite. Most people want to throw their alarm clocks when they go off, not dance around to the music.

He can't remember lyrics. Seriously, it's weird. He can tell you the name of any song and the band, but just try and ask him to sing along. He can't. Which usually means he'll start making lyrics up, which = me laughing.

He is really competitive. I am really competitive. It's not good. There has never been, "Oh she's my wife, maybe I'll let her win." It's a fight to the death. We shouldn't be allowed to play games together.

He loves BYU football. I mean loves it. Obsesses over it. Even though I cheer for the opposite team (cough.. the better team), I always cheer for BYU to win (except when they play the U) so we don't have a grumpy Bri.

One of my favorite memories of Brian- a couple years ago when I was busily studying for my finals, in walks Brian dressed up in a suit jacket, a tie, dress shoes and a kitchen towel hung over his forearm (you know, kind of like a fancy waiter). And that's it. The rest of him...naked. He was there to fill up my Diet Coke. He cracks me up.

He spoils me, and then gets mad that I'm so spoiled. hmmmm.

He's so smart. He'll get mad that I'm bragging about him, but I don't care. When I met Brian I knew he was cute and fun, but I didn't realize how smart he is. Freakishly smart. Especially with computers or electronics. His idea of not doing so well on a test was a B+. I had no idea how big of a nerd he is, but it comes in really handy. I'm sure that if our kids inherit his brains I'm in big trouble.

He is allergic to fruit. Not all fruit, but some. He's not so allergic that he'll die if he has some, but allergic enough that it makes his throat itch and makes him cough. Instead of avoiding these fruits, he just deals with the allergies.

"Brian, are you alright? You don't sound so good."
"Yes, my throat is just swelling from eating this."
"Maybe you should consider not eating Mango Salsa."
"It's too good."

And we all know by now his sleeping habits. Not a week goes by that Brian doesn't make me laugh hysterically while he's asleep. Just last night we woke up only to call my computer a bad name and then went back to sleep. Random and no memory of this whatsoever.

So Happy Birthday to you Brian. I rarely gush about this guy, but I caved for his birthday. He truly is my best friend. He should get a present everyday just for putting up with my awesome emotions as of late. I hope you have a great day... you deserve it. Muah.
